Terms of service
The agreement between your organisation and us. Plain language where plain language will do, and clear about the one thing that matters most: what the numbers on this platform are, and what they are not.

1.Who this agreement is with
These terms are between PROTEIN PLATFORM (registration number 2026/797243/07), trading as Protein Platform, and the organisation whose account you are using.
By creating an account or using the platform you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you may bind it.
2.What the service is
Protein Platform collects protein market prices and conditions, works them into forecasts, assessments and written analysis, and makes the result available to subscribing organisations through this website, scheduled briefs and an AI analyst.
How much of it you can see depends on your plan. We may add, change or withdraw features; where a change removes something material from a plan you are paying for, we will tell you before it happens.
3.What the service is not
Specifically, you should understand the following before acting on anything here:
- Forecasts are model output. They are produced by statistical models from past prices. A forecast range describes how much those models disagree with each other — it is not a confidence interval and not a promise about the future.
- Written analysis is generated by AI. Briefs, reports and analyst answers are produced by a language model working from the platform's own computed evidence. It can be wrong. Where a number matters to a decision, check it against the underlying data, which the platform shows you.
- Submitted prices are as good as what we are given. Much of the data comes from other clients. We screen for outliers, but we do not independently verify every price, and we do not warrant that any figure is accurate, current or complete.
- Accuracy is published, not hidden. The platform scores its own past predictions against what actually happened. Read that before deciding how much weight a forecast deserves.
4.Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your login. Keep your password to yourself, use one login per person rather than sharing one around, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
Administrators of an organisation can add and remove members, change the plan, and close the account. Choose who holds that role deliberately.
5.Plans, trials and payment
- New organisations start on a 7-day free trial. When it ends, access stops unless you have subscribed. We do not take payment details to start a trial and nothing happens automatically when it ends.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment provider, in the currency shown at checkout, and renew for the same period until cancelled.
- Cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in, and you keep access until that period ends.
- If a payment fails we will tell you and try again before access is affected. Access is suspended rather than deleted, and resumes when payment succeeds.
- Prices can change. We will give you notice before a change applies to your renewal.
6.Data you contribute
When you submit prices or market information, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use it as part of the market intelligence the platform produces, including in aggregated and anonymised form shown to other clients.
You keep ownership of what you submit. Other clients see the aggregate — the median, the movement, the range — not your organisation's name against a figure. If you close your account, your contributions are permanently de-identified rather than deleted; the privacy notice sets out exactly what that means.
You confirm that you are entitled to submit what you submit — that it is not somebody else's confidential information, and that sharing it breaks no agreement you are bound by.
7.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute or republish the platform's data or reports outside your organisation without our written agreement.
- Scrape, bulk-extract or automate access beyond normal use of the interface and any API we give you.
- Share one login among several people, or give access to anyone outside your organisation.
- Submit information you know to be false, or deliberately distort the market picture other clients rely on.
- Attempt to get at data belonging to another organisation, or to interfere with the platform's operation or security.
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. Where it is safe and fair to do so, we will tell you first.
8.Availability
We work to keep the platform available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen. Where an outage is ours and it is substantial, talk to us about the affected period.
9.Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost trading opportunity, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform — including decisions taken on the basis of a forecast, an assessment or an AI-generated report.
Where we are liable, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies to you.
10.Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time; an Administrator can do it from the client portal. Closing starts a 30-day grace period during which it can be undone, after which deletion is permanent and irreversible. The privacy notice describes what is destroyed and what is kept.
We may end this agreement if you materially break these terms, or on reasonable notice if we stop offering the service.
11.General
- These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
- If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
- We may update these terms. We will move the date at the top, and for a material change we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
- Questions about these terms: info@protein-platform.com.
